OUR STORY
Growing up around the embroidery industry, I saw firsthand what could be created through embroidery. But I also saw an opportunity to approach it differently.
Much of the industry felt predictable. Similar designs, familiar products, and ideas that had been repeated countless times.
I wanted to create something unique. Items that could bring personality to everyday life without sacrificing quality or style.
Cotton Oat is founded on making good things, worth keeping, by using premium materials, that last.
INSPIRATION
Nature has always been one of my greatest sources of inspiration.
Gardens, wildlife, changing seasons, and the outdoors continue to influence much of what I create.
But inspiration does not begin and end there.
Books, food, coffee, animals, travel, home, humor, and everyday rituals all have a place within the world of Cotton Oat.
Each design idea comes from an original human thought. Cotton Oat prioritizes human creativity.

Our Values
Design Integrity
Original designs are hand-drawn or created without the use of AI, while select embroidery files are sourced from independent designers with appropriate commercial permissions and credited where applicable.
Quality
Materials, construction, and functionality are considered before products are brought to market. The goal is to create well-made pieces that provide lasting value.
Responsible Sourcing
Cotton Oat only works with suppliers and production partners that demonstrate responsible business practices, transparent sourcing, and appropriate labor standards. (Click here for more information)
Supply Chain Responsibility
Cotton Oat considers the environmental and social implications of materials, manufacturing, packaging, and fulfillment throughout the entire supply chain.
Material Responsibility
Preference is given to materials and products that offer durability, recycled or certified fibers where appropriate, and a longer useful life. Sustainability claims are made carefully and transparently.
Responsible Consumption
Cotton Oat rejects unnecessary product proliferation and excessive trend cycles. Products are developed with purpose and intended to be purchased, used, and kept rather than quickly discarded. Each item is made to order to limit excessive inventory and waste.

AI is not used in any creative or production process. Cotton Oat believes that creativity is an important aspect of our everyday lives.
